After lightboxing, it's time for watercolors!

After drawing the image digitally, I print image then light boxed it lightly onto watercolor paper.

A very long background! One of the shots that required the background to be involved for a camera move.

To match the feel of my watercolour backgrounds, I decided to forgo "clean" animation paints and try textures instead!

This was my final design for much of the film, until I ultimately decided she needed a wardrobe change.

"Inky Fingers" Student Film

A tiny fairy is sent to help an aging cartoonist finish his comic pages by deadline. Full of enthusiasm, she sets right to work, and doesn't quite realize that certain things in life take practice.

This project is currently in the "rough animation" stage of development. About two minutes long, when finished, this film will be my senior thesis.
